The current and future world of work requires a workforce that is capable of addressing the challenges of productivity in an era of technological advancement across industries. There is a need for people with knowledge of novel approaches, skills and competencies for managing projects towards achieving business objectives.
This course is designed to equip students with a broad understanding of professional practices and knowledge in project management. Graduates will develop sought-after skills for managing projects through essential phases (initiation, planning, implementation, monitoring and controlling and finalisation).
The course is designed for both young and mature age professionals who have work experience and want to progress into project management roles. The course also targets people who may not havework experience, but aspire for project management, coordination, administration and leadership roles.
Individuals who complete this course will develop the essential skills in literacy and numeracy, learning agility and self-management, critical thinking, problem solving, communication, and the technological knowledge required for managing projects across a range of organisations and industry contexts.
To be eligible for entry into the Diploma of Project Management; it is recommended that student’s complete secondary education with 2 years of full-time equivalent work experience.
Our recognition of prior learning (RPL) enables students to apply for credit based on prior study, formal training, and work experience. RPL is assessed based on students providing evidence.
